“Countertop Sketching” is the basic course of jewelry sketching. As commonly known, sketching is the essential fundamental for jewelry design, and having a good sketching skill is importantly related to purchasing loose stones, because a designer would imagine a design of that stone in mind before making a real setting. By applying a freehand drawing skill, or drawing a quick sketch, a designer is able to sketch a draft conveniently at any time, anywhere.
Students will learn how-to sketch in basic, no prior experience or required skills. Mostly, each lesson emphasizes a freehand drawing skill to draw pendants, diamonds, earrings and brooches. Additionally, students will learn coloring techniques, shadowing techniques, perspective drawing and drawing jewelry settings which are beneficial for designs.
Instructor: Chitwadee Raviwong, an international award-winning designer and holds a jewelry design diploma from Bangkok’s Institute of Technology and Education.
