TRY SCUBA / BASIC DIVER
This program gives you the opportunity to experience the underwater world, in a confined water and open water setting – without committing to a longer certification program. If you decide to become an Open Water Diver within six months of completing your Basic Diver program, your first open water dive will be credited as one of the required training dives. Once you have completed your TRY SCUBA Program you will be awarded a online TRY SCUBA/BASIC DIVER certificate.

SSI Try Scuba is an entry-level program gives you the opportunity to experience the underwater world, in a confined water setting, without committing to a longer certification program.

- Shorter period of diving opportunity (2-3 hours course duration)
- Makes participants prepared for deeper knowledge and challenges on the Open Water Diver Course
- Earn the SSI Try Scuba or SSI Try Scuba Diving recognition rating
With Try Scuba Diving, you get a glimpse into the basics of diving conveniently at our very own swimming pool. If you love the experience, take the leap and pursue the SSI Open Water Diver Course. Scuba Diving is much easier than you think, so come try it for yourself!
Outline
- Be at least 10 years of age or older
- 1 Pool Session (3 hours)
- Full equipment rental
- Instructor/Divemaster fees
- Ratio – max. 2 students : 1 instructor
- Boat trip with 2 open water dives
The fun doesn’t need to stop there! With just a little more training, you can go even further – imagine diving in underwater shipwrecks, with sharks, or becoming an underwater photographer! It s your chance to move to the next level in your diving adventures.

Created ten years ago, the Palm Beach Divers center is situated on Long Beach, one of Koh Lanta‘s most beautiful beaches. Since more than 5 years now Palm Beach Divers is directed from the Polish couple Iwona and Wlodek Gryglewicz, both SSI/PADI instructors. Palm Beach Divers team consists of Instructors and Dive Masters communicating fluently in English, Polish, French, German, Dutch, Russian and Spanish.
With the Palm Beach Divers team, you will go diving in idyllic surroundings. Guided by our passionate team who will be looking out for your comfort and safety. Thanks to Lila, our big tour-boat, and on demand speedboat, we will take you out into the Andaman Sea to admire a big variety of colorful coral reefs which are full of life in its different forms.
