Wise Living Yoga Academy is an educational body affiliated to The Yoga Institute of Santacruz, Mumbai – India, the world’s oldest organized Yoga institution, which imparts Yoga Education and
Lifestyle Principles of Classical Yoga, following the lineage of the late Shri Yogendraji – the father of Modern Yoga Renaissance – direct disciple of Guru Pujya Paramahamsa Madhavadasji.
Located in the outskirts of Chiang Mai, in the district of Doi Saket, our training facility is set in midst of rice fields and surrounded by hills and forests. The centre provides an "Ashram-like" environment, ideal for the full immersion
experience in Traditional Yoga studies.

with an exotic experience without much troubles and hurdles of the lack of infrastructure that is characteristic of much of Asian subcontinent. Our courses are structured to provide the students with the right environment for learning & authentic approach
to Yoga Philosophy & Techniques.
The centre is built around a lovely garden with many plants, flowers and trees. There is also a small pond with aquatic plants. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. They are newly built, with nice flooring & furniture,
private clean bathroom with hot shower, and beds with good quality mattresses. It has a very quiet and inspiring atmosphere for self-reflection and deep Yoga studies and practices. Rooms are equipped with fan and window nets.
Students are usually accommodated in a twin sharing room (with a person of the same gender). Private rooms may be booked in advance or according to availability.
Main Courses:
- Yoga Teacher Training Course - 4 weeks (200 hours)
The Teachers Training Course (TTC) program designed by Wise Living Yoga Academy is accredited by the International Board of Yoga, and intend to provide strong foundation on Classical
Yoga Philosophy (Patañjali Ashtanga Yoga), Lifestyle Principles (Yogachara) and Yoga Techniques (Hatha cum Raja
Yoga). It will endow the Yoga Aspirants (Sadhakas) and Teacher Trainees with guiding principles for his own Personal Development & Habituation to Spiritual Consciousness and also theDidactics
& Methodology for imparting Yoga Wisdom & Training to individuals of all ages and provide basic advice for the management of common ailments
This course provides foundation on Classical Yoga philosophy and practices, including
meditation, asanas (postural training), pranayamas (breathing techniques) and simple kriyas (cleansing techniques). Our Yoga TTC program is especially structure to comply with the International Standards of 200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training programs. The
graduates will be qualified and certified to teach Yoga in any part of the world.
- Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Course - 6 weeks (300 hours)
This course follows similar course structure and time-table of the 200 hours course. However the Sadhaka (aspirant) will be guided and oriented on the foundational aspects of Pure Ayurveda or
the Science of Nature Cure and Shatkarmas (Yogic kriyas for internal cleansing). The program aims at allowing the students to deeper their knowledge and experience in Yoga through the traditional methods of Swadhyaya (Advanced
studies of Traditional Texts & Self-study) & on Yogic Sadhana (Personal practice). This includes reinforcing the experience of life in an Ashram environment and on undertaking of activities in the spirit of Karma Yoga.
Only old students (who have already completed a 200 hours course) can apply for the 300 hours program happening at specific time in the year. Anyone can join this program by attending first the 200 hours and then proceed
with the next 300 hoursin the subsequent weeks OR as per our calendar of courses and complete a total of 500 hours formal education in Yoga.

- Samkhya-Yoga - 7 Day Intensive (50 hours)
People glibly speak about Yoga without realizing that it forms an integral part of a composite Samkhya-Yoga Philosophy, the oldest philosophical system in the world.

- Samkhya + Bhagavad Gita -14 Day Intensive (100 hours)
In this retreat, besides the study of Samkhya and many traditional practices and tecniques, the student will be lead to dive deeper into Yoga as the Bhagavad Gita will be explained in the view of the Four Paths of Yoga, namely Raja Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Bhakti
Yoga & Karma Yoga.
With this short course you are automatically completing the first Module (100 hours) of our Yoga Teacher Training Course and will be eligible to attend the last 2 weeks of the Teacher Training any time in future
and be certified as Yoga Teacher by Wise Living Yoga Academy at the 200 hours level.
All programs are residential and include vegetarian meals.
